Help Communities Grow From the Ground Up
A single gift can help turn kitchen scraps into living soil, an empty container into a food garden, and an underused space into a place of learning and connection. Eden Earth Gardens Inc. strengthens communities through soil restoration, regenerative education, and hands-on stewardship. Your support helps residents build practical skills to grow food, conserve water, restore soil, and care for productive green spaces across Euless, Tarrant County, and the Mid-Cities region. Healthy soil creates healthy communities.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes. Eden Earth Gardens Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
What This Means for You
When you make a monetary donation to Eden Earth Gardens Inc., you may be able to deduct that amount on your federal income tax return. Eden Earth Gardens does not provide goods or services in exchange for a monetary donation, so the full amount of your gift is generally deductible.
You will receive a donation receipt by email confirming:
The organization's legal name — Eden Earth Gardens Inc.
The date of your gift
The amount of your gift
A statement that no goods or services were provided in exchange for it
For gifts of $250 or more, this written acknowledgment is required to substantiate your deduction. Please retain it for your records.
A Note About Marketplace Purchases
If you purchase an item through our wishlist or registry, or you pay for a workshop, class, service, or product, that transaction is not a charitable donation. You are receiving something of value in return, so only any amount you pay above the fair market value may be deductible — and we will tell you what that portion is.
If a payment includes both a donation and a benefit, your receipt will show the value of what you received so you can calculate the deductible portion.
Material and In-Kind Donations
Donated goods — such as clean containers, tools, seeds, or supplies — may also be tax-deductible at their fair market value, provided Eden Earth Gardens accepts them in advance and provides a written acknowledgment of what was received.
Please contact us before delivering any materials. We cannot accept unscheduled drop-offs, unidentified soil, treated lumber, diseased plants, invasive species, or containers with unknown histories, and we cannot issue an acknowledgment for items we did not agree to accept.
What We Cannot Do
Eden Earth Gardens Inc. cannot provide individualized tax, legal, or financial advice, and we cannot determine the deductibility of your specific contribution. Tax treatment depends on your circumstances, including whether you itemize deductions.
For guidance on your particular situation, please consult a qualified tax professional.
Questions About Your Receipt?
If you did not receive a receipt, need a replacement, or have a question about your donation record, contact us at [eden.earth.now@gmail.com] and we will be glad to help.

Where Does My Donation Go?
Every dollar given to Eden Earth Gardens Inc. is reinvested directly into the work. Donations, grants, and program revenue support four core areas.
1. Free and Subsidized Programming
Your gift helps residents participate regardless of income. We deliver subsidized workshops, grant-funded lessons, and hands-on training through the six-module Eden Blueprint™ curriculum, offsetting participant costs so that low-income and underserved community members can attend at no charge.
2. Growing Materials and Equipment
Donations supply the physical foundation of the work:
Food-safe containers and raised-bed materials
Living soil, compost, mulch, and amendments
Seeds, seedlings, and climate-appropriate plants
Hand tools, gloves, and irrigation components
Workshop and educational supplies
3. The Living Laboratory and Urban Micro-Orchard
We maintain an active agricultural demonstration site featuring over 20 mature fruit trees, specialty crops, intensive container networks, and closed-loop organic waste diversion infrastructure. Donations help care for the orchard, maintain the composting systems, and keep the demonstration site available for learning.
4. Access and Expansion
Your support helps expand free public access — more workshops, more community sites, more participants — and equips local communities with long-term, self-sustaining food security rather than one-time assistance.
Our Stewardship Commitment
Eden Earth Gardens Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are committed to:
Using every contribution in furtherance of our charitable and educational mission
Maintaining accurate financial records and appropriate internal controls
Keeping administrative overhead responsible and transparent
Reporting honestly about how gifts support the work
Respecting donor privacy and never selling donor information
All donations, grants, and programmatic revenues are structurally reinvested into offsetting participant costs, expanding free public access, and equipping local communities with long-term, self-sustaining food security.
What Your Gift Is Not Funding
We think this matters as much as where the money goes. Donations do not fund:
Personal expenses of officers or directors
Political campaigns or lobbying
Anything outside our charitable and educational purposes
Healthy soil creates healthy communities. Your gift helps grow both.

Can I Volunteer or Get More Involved?
Yes — and there are several ways to participate, whether you have an hour, a season, or a skill to share.
Eden Earth Gardens Inc. works with residents, schools, congregations, businesses, and community organizations across Tarrant County, and the Dallas Ft Worth Metroplex. You do not need gardening experience to get involved. Curiosity and willingness to show up are enough to start.
Ways to Get Involved
Join a workshop. Attend an Eden Blueprint™ session and learn soil health, composting, container growing, water stewardship, and seed saving. No prior experience required.
Volunteer at a workday. Help with garden builds, orchard care, compost system maintenance, planting days, and community workdays. Tasks vary by season and include both physical work and lighter roles.
Share a skill. Bring accounting, grant writing, translation, graphic design, photography, carpentry, irrigation repair, teaching, or youth mentorship. Practical skills keep the work moving.
Host or partner. Invite the Eden Blueprint™ to your school, congregation, workplace, or community group — or offer space for a workshop or demonstration site.
Become a community steward. Take responsibility for a growing area, compost system, tool library, or recurring care task, with training and support.
Support the work. Donate, sponsor a program, donate approved materials, or share our work with someone who should know about it.
Learn and take it home. Even if you never volunteer formally, you can use what you learn here in your own space — and teach it to a neighbor. That is how a community of growers begins.
What to Expect as a Volunteer
No experience necessary. We'll teach what you need to know for the task.
Work is seasonal. Activities change with Texas weather — planting, harvest, summer care, fall preparation.
Scheduling matters. Volunteer opportunities are by arrangement, not drop-in. Please sign up or contact us ahead of time.
Safety first. We follow site safety practices and will explain any equipment or precautions.
We ask before we assign. Tell us what you enjoy, what you'd rather avoid, and how much time you can realistically give. Your availability is a real limit, and we design around it.
Younger volunteers may need a parent or guardian present, depending on the activity. Contact us for details.
Materials and In-Kind Donations
If you'd like to donate supplies rather than time, please contact us first. We accept approved items such as clean food-safe containers, unopened seeds, new hand tools and gloves, untreated lumber, and clean source-verified leaves or cardboard.
We cannot accept unscheduled drop-offs, unidentified soil, treated lumber, diseased plants, invasive species, used chemical containers, or materials with unknown histories.
Contact Us to Get Started
Tell us a little about yourself, your interests, your availability, and your location. We'll let you know what's coming up and where you might fit.
Email: [eden.earth.now@gmail.com]
Whether you plant one container, tend one compost bin, or teach one neighbor what you learn, you are part of the work.
Change does not wait for policy. It grows from the ground up.

Do You Accept In-Kind Donations?
Yes — by prior arrangement. Eden Earth Gardens Inc. gratefully accepts approved materials and services that directly support our regenerative agriculture, education, and community programs. Because soil health and participant safety depend on what enters our systems, we ask donors to contact us before delivering anything.

Unopened seeds, especially open-pollinated and regionally appropriate varieties
New or gently used hand tools, gloves, and gardening equipment
Untreated lumber suitable for raised beds or infrastructure

For the safety of our soil, plants, participants, and volunteers, we cannot accept:
Soil, compost, or mulch of unknown origin
Treated, painted, or chemically preserved lumber
Containers that held fuel, paint, pesticides, or industrial chemicals
Diseased, invasive, or pest-infested plant material

We also welcome in-kind professional services such as accounting, legal support, grant writing, translation, graphic design, photography, web development, and construction or repair work.
How to Offer an In-Kind Donation
Contact us before delivering anything. Describe the item, quantity, condition, source, and previous use.
We will review it for safety, usefulness, condition, storage capacity, and mission fit.
We will confirm whether we can accept it and arrange a drop-off or pick-up.
We will provide an acknowledgment of what was received.

Subject line: In-Kind Donation InquiryTax Acknowledgment
Eden Earth Gardens Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. In-kind donations may be tax-deductible at their fair market value to the extent allowed by law.
We will acknowledge the items we received, but donors are responsible for establishing and documenting the value of donated goods. We cannot appraise property or provide estimates of fair market value.
For gifts of $250 or more, your acknowledgment from us is required to substantiate your deduction. Please retain it for your records.
We cannot provide individualized tax, legal, or financial advice. Consult a qualified tax professional about your specific situation.
A Note on What We Can Use
Regenerative work depends on keeping unsafe materials out of the system. An accepted donation is one that can be used safely, stored properly, and maintained over time. A donation that becomes a disposal problem for us is not a gift to the community.
If we cannot accept an item, we will tell you honestly and, where possible, suggest an appropriate alternative.
Every accepted donation becomes part of a system that grows food, restores soil, and teaches stewardship.

Can I Donate in Someone's Name or in Their Memory?
Yes. Eden Earth Gardens Inc. gratefully accepts gifts made in honor of a living person and gifts made in memory of someone who has passed. These are among the most meaningful contributions we receive.
Gifts in Honor
A gift in honor of someone can mark a birthday, anniversary, retirement, graduation, holiday, recovery, or simply a way of thanking a person who has mattered to you.
You might choose to designate the gift to a particular area — community education, youth programming, container-garden starter kits, or the urban micro-orchard — or direct it to the area of greatest need.
Memorial Gifts
A gift in memory of someone can carry forward what they cared about. Many families find that trees, growing spaces, and educational programs are a fitting way to remember a person whose life was connected to the land, to food, or to community.
If you would like, we can discuss designating a memorial gift toward a specific growing area, tree, or program, subject to site capacity and our ability to care for it over the long term.
How to Make a Tribute Gift
Donate online and select the tribute option, or contact us directly and tell us it is a tribute gift.
Provide the honoree's name — and, with respect to a memorial, the name of the person being remembered.
Tell us who should be notified. We will send an acknowledgment to the person or family you designate, if you provide their name and mailing address or email.
Choose a designation or leave it to the area of greatest need.
Receive your donation receipt. Your receipt will confirm your gift, and we will separately acknowledge the tribute.
A Note About Our Acknowledgment
When we send a tribute acknowledgment, we do not disclose the amount of your gift unless you ask us to. We normally say only that a gift has been made in honor or in memory of the person named.
We can typically issue a tribute acknowledgment for gifts of any size, but larger gifts make it easier to direct toward a specific program or growing area. If you would like us to confirm the tribute to the honoree or family, please provide their contact information.
Record-Keeping and Recognition
We will record the tribute in our donor records with the name you provide.
We will honor a request for anonymity if you prefer your gift not be publicly recognized.
We will not publish the honoree's or family's personal information without permission.
If you wish the tribute to be recognized publicly — in a newsletter, on our website, or in program materials — please tell us, and we will confirm with the person or family as appropriate.
Tax Acknowledgment and IRS Considerations
Eden Earth Gardens Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Your donation receipt will record your gift and confirm that no goods or services were provided in exchange for it. Keep it for your records.
Please note: if a tribute payment is made in exchange for a benefit — such as tickets, merchandise, admission, or a meal — only the portion above the fair market value of what you receive may be deductible. We will tell you the value of any benefits provided.
We cannot provide individualized tax, legal, or financial advice. Consult a qualified tax professional about your specific situation.
Something Worth Considering
If you would like a tribute gift to become something lasting, a donation toward the living laboratory, a fruit tree, or the Eden Blueprint™ access fund can carry a person's name forward in a way that keeps growing. We are glad to talk through what is possible and what we can care for responsibly over time.
Contact us at [eden.earth.now@gmail.com before making a tribute gift so we can help you with the designation and acknowledgment.
Every gift carries a story. Some carry a name.
